08/2015: Director Assistant, StarTalk Vermont Chinese Program, Burlington, VT

  • Assisted the Director of StarTalk Vermont, a summer Chinese immersion program for high school students, with student supervision and program affairs.
  • Designed and led the afternoon and evening language and cultural activities.

  • Co-taught Chinese 101 & 102 with Dr. Cynthia Ning and Dr. Tao-Chung Yao, piloting the new multimedia textbook Encounters. 

12/2010-01/2012: Lead Teacher (Online), University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, Honolulu, HI

  • Led the online curriculum area, including reading, writing, listening and speaking courses.
  • Worked on online teacher development through material development, teachers’ resource website construction, and professional development workshops.

08/2010-01/2012: Graduate Assistant,University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, Honolulu, HI

  • Taught Advanced Academic Reading online to international students.
  • Proposed and taught a hybrid section of Advanced Academic Reading to international students at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa.

06/2010-07/2010: Credit Teacher, Concordia Language Villages, Cass Lake, MN

  • Taught elementary Chinese in an NCA-accredited high school language immersion program.
  • Developed role-plays, worksheets, and reference materials for elementary Chinese students.
  • Planned and led historical and cultural activities for 7-18 year old students.
